The honest investigator

“The honest investigator must be prepared to follow wherever the search of truth may lead. Truth is often found in the most unexpected places. He must, with fearless and open mind insist that facts are far more important than any cherished, mistaken beliefs, no matter how unpleasant the facts or how delightful the beliefs.”
Hugh B. Brown – General Conference, October 1962

This is great, if the church actually took this stance. But they don’t. See my previous post, “Truth”.

I've got 4 kids. I got unmarried in 2018. I grew up Mormon and was very active until 2019. I enjoy reading on all kinds of topics from self-help, to religion, to history, to science. I also sometimes binge-watch Netflix. I love being outside and currently live in New Zealand, one of the most beautiful places on earth. I like to cook and sourdough bread is my latest specialty. I also like to paint. And I love dark chocolate.
